conflict resolution
Our free mediation service is available to anyone living in the Northside area. It is run by a large number of volunteers and mediators who live and work in the area. The aim of mediation is to help the people involved in a dispute to reach an agreement acceptable to both sides. The mediators act as a "go-between" to help re-open channels of communication and bring the parties to agreement. Mediation can be a time-saving and cost-effective alternative to taking legal action to resolve a dispute. For more information on community mediation, or if you are involved in a dispute and wish to consider mediation as an option to resolve your problem, please contact Valerie on 01-8482988.

Our mediation service helps people involved in;

•Parental Mediation: access & maintenance
•Community Mediation: neighbours causing a nuisance
•Conflict within families: families in disputes
•Community group disputes
•Work place
•Conflict coaching
What conflict coaching is:
Conflict coaching is a structured process that helps people on a one to one basis, to develop or enhance their skills, knowledge and competencies, to effectively engage in and manage interpersonal conflict. It is a voluntary, confidential process, which focuses on each individual’s conflict management goals. Conflict coaching is not therapy or counselling.

We train volunteers from the local community as mediators and they provide this service within the community. This service builds capacity within the community and is a highly valued community resource.
